-Went to the regional spelling bee twice in grade school
-acted in five school productions, two community theatre productions and a student film, show choir for 2 years
-volunteered in Kilimanjaro for a month building a school, then worked for six months in Africa at the Chimpanzee Conservation Center, 3 week-long mission trips serving the homeless in Indianapolis, volunteered at nursing homes for five years, volunteered with Habitat for Humanity, part-time volunteer at local animal shelter for five months
-copy editor of school newspaper, attended journalism conference in Minneapolis, published politicl articles on the Internet and an interview with a popular musician arranged by me
-founded, own, and manage my own company selling therapeutic essential oils
-founded a local club providing company for people in nursing homes
-organized a fundraising campaign that raised $5,000+ for critically endangered apes
-won knights of Columbus essay contest on integrity</p>
<p>For perspective, I want to get into NYU Gallatin. My SAT was 2100 (I might have time to raise it a little) and my GPA is only 3.3. I think my ECs are strong, and especially fitting for Gallatin, but is it enough to make up for my low GPA and average SAT?</p>
