The main focus of this post is on my EC's. I am strong enough student to contend in the Ivies, MIT and Stanford (2330 on SAT, straight 800's 5 AP's Junior year, and pretty much straight A's with 5's on all AP's), but I am curious as how my EC's stand in this competitive application process.

Here are my four main EC's:

President and founder of Comedy Club

Co-President of Nationally Recognized Engineering Team (we also got a 10,000 grant from MIT)

Co-president Of Math Team

Public Editor of award winning High School Paper

National Honors Society (Is this worthless? I have a feeling it is)

Awards:

Highest score on the AMC in my school

AIME qualifications (This year I MIGHT get USAMO...but thats kind of a coin toss)

Chosen to be on State team for ARML (math competition)

Part of school's TV Show quiz bowl team that made it to the Championship Finals

On high school's team for Moody's Mega Math Challenge, where we have a good shot in getting to the nationals.

A bunch of random Academic awards (High achieving student in blah blah...Nothing to profound)

Community Service:

I tutor people for free, and those in underprivleged towns

Personal Hobby:

Stand-Up Comedy is something I do as a hobby, and I started a club (as previosly mentioned in High School EC's with my English Teacher who happens to be an avid stand up comedy fan. We watch and analyze stand up, and in addition practice and offer people in the club places to perform (ameatur nights)

So what do you guys think? Think with this stuff and good stats as mentioned before, I have a decent shot at MIT/Ivies? And if the answer is yes, would you say I am competitive, or merely an average applicant that has the same chance as everyone else? (around 10-15%)

Thanks for any of your input!
