how are my scores? (2/3, at least)

I'm a freshman in HS. 1st time taking the PSaT, but took the SaT Reasoning in 7th and 8th (not counted)-11 on essay in 8th

Writing-650
Critical Reading-670
Math-480 (yeah, I know)

Math was largely (if not completely) due to a horrendous year of algebra I. That score WILL improve.

You took the SAT without having taken geometry?

PSaT, and yeah. definetly NOT the SaT. I'm not taking that until my Jr. year (as late as possible)

Your math score will improve significantly once you take geometry :)

Yeah, math will definitely improve after geometry. Don't worry about it, I went up 150 points in math since I've been prepping for the SAT, and it keeps improving with each practice test. You'll be fine! (Though I'd strongly recommend taking a prep course)

Good luck!

I would strongly recommend not waiting as long as possible. because then you can't retake if it's bad.

i didn't mean to say i'd wait as long as possible in my junior year to take it, but that i wouldn't be taking it my freshman or sophmore year, is all

Y'know, algebra is late elementary stuff. =</p>

haha. not in our town! algebra 1 is taught to 8th and 9th graders (8th advanced, like my class, except we didn't learn anything)
