How are other Americans funding this?

I'm from Chicago, just got in Tuesday or Wednesday...

It's pretty cheap compared to the highly ranked US schools...even with room, board, and other expenses added in, the total that I'd pay at McGill (about 25k USD) is less than tuition at most of the top US schools.

Anyways, how are you guys funding it? I don't really want to rely on my parents unless I have to, so I'm looking for good scholarships and other opportunities.

Also, when is the deadline for accepted admission? I need to visit still, though I'm 99% sure I'm going. I'm planning on going during the week of April 10th...

I'm not sure about the deadline (a check at McGill's website would be good), but do apply as soon as you can, because it usually takes a long time for them to (a)receive your documents, (b)review them and make a decision (c)AND sometimes they may need further review and require you to send in extra documents. yupps, just my 2cents worth ;)

i don't know - check the website. i think it's a lot later than american schools though, since they hand out admission decisions a lot later as well. in terms of housing, it's probably best to response right after you visit if you're sure you want to go there.

eunique, don't take this the wrong way, but if you're going to bother responding, please at least read what I write.

I've already been accepted.

hey DerDrache, believed I read it as application deadline.. apologies for that

and congrats for being accepted.
