English is not my first language and i wanted to know how much is the SAT going to effect me also i am a minority and i am in state
i am looking at uga and colleges in general

bummmmmmmp

well…most don’t really care whether you’re a native speaker or a student that learned English after another language…For example, English is my third language and I’ve learned it just in a year. Although this may be an accomplishment, if you still have a CR score under 600, you’ll get rejected from all Ivy League, no doubt. Even your math score of 800 wouldn’t help you get into a good school because a low CR score or a writing score will hurt your chances more. How do I know? Experience
Try to increase your CR score!

Are a 600 CR and 680 W considered as bad for a non-native speaker?

It matters where you’re applying. Your scores are above average (CR) and good (w) for any of the college-bound students taking the SAT. Your scores would get you into most colleges in the country, but that 600 CR would be far below the norm for top 25 colleges.
