How are scholarships awarded?(Need,grades,etc.)

Because I applied for the KFC scholarship and the minimum gpa is 2.75. So those that mean that people with a gpa of 2.75 have a chance. Or is it random or by merit or need?

Every scholarship, from every college, or corporation, etc…is different. The rules for the scholarship for which you applied, are surely available from wherever it is you obtained the application.

I seen the rules and they are basic like 2.75+ GPA. Going to a 2-4 year accredited college or university etc.

Does it ask for test scores, transcripts, ECs, leadership qualities? Does it ask about need? If so, they probably consider all of these things.

Yes it ask for all that.

Well, then…there you go!

However, my gut tells me that someone with a 2.75 GPA would have to have some spectacular ECs or something in order to get an award. The reason I think this is because the person with a 2.75 needs to justify why he/she should get the award over someone with - say - a 3.95 GPA. But, I could be wrong.

none of the high-end schools offer scholarships anymore right? (as in ivy league, stanford, vanderbilt… etc.)
