How are scores sent?

I took two tests today, Literature and World History. I did okay/good on Lit but awful on World (praying for a 600). When I send scores to colleges will I have to send both cause they were taken on the same day? Or can I just send my literature score?

Sorry for posting twice, computer is being weird and I don’t know how to delete one…

Since you took both on the same day, yes you have to send both scores. The options for the SAT include only the day of the sitting, not which tests. My older son did great on 2 of his 3 SATII’s at one sitting, ended up sending all but got into many good schools. The SATII’s were not required however, only recommended for the schools he applied. You can always retake the lower score and send that to show you know the material.

@Gumbymom‌ darn. thanks for answering!!

Actually, I think they changed the policy.
You can pick individual scores: <a href=“Send SAT Scores to Colleges - SAT Suite | College Board”>http://professionals.collegeboard.com/testing/sat-reasoning/scores/policy.

@Foodlover001‌ i think you might be on to something!

"Q: Is Score Choice available for both SAT and SAT Subject Tests score reports?

A: Yes. Students can select which scores they send to colleges by test date for the SAT and by individual test for SAT Subject Tests."

Wanted to confirm that you can select to suppress the reporting of a Subject Test score as long as the college is not one that requires all scores be reported. If you are happy with your Lit score but wish you had never taken history, you can elect to simply send the Lit score.

This contrasts with SAT I where all three sub-scores must be sent even if you would prefer that a college only see one section’s score. The colleges will go on to super score your SAT I tests, but all three sections must be submitted in order for the college to pull the one high score for the super score. (Hope this last bit did not confuse more than clarify.)

@CT1417‌ thank you for confirming! and you didn’t confuse haha
