Heeeyyy This is for the current UC Davis students

I wanted to know,

how are the classes at UC Davis?

Are they small, big or average?

Are they easy to learn from, or so big that it is distracting?

Are the Professors accessible? Classes are overcrowded?

My college counselor just told me to look into these things cause it can be a BIG factor…

So please…enlighten me

Thank you so much!

It really depends on what class you’re taking. Lower-division classes are often pretty huge and can range from 50 to 300 students. However, as you take more upper-division courses, the class sizes tend to hover from 20 to 40. Foreign language courses are small and are on average 20 students. There are also special seminars that you can take (such as freshman seminars) that are worth 1-2 units (or Pass/No Pass) and have a class size of maybe 10-15 students and you get a more personal experience with the professor.

In my experience, I’ve found that professors are always nice and willing to help you if you take advantage of their office hours.
