Do some people think that they are small? Are they big or would you just describe them as a comfortable size? Is it possible to get a single? Do all the freshman live in the same building? I know this is a lot of questions but any feedback would be appreciated =]

I visited, and the freshman dorms are smaller than the upper classmen, but suprisingly spacious and attractive compared to other schools I have visited.

We'd visited Drew's campus twice - including dorms, as well as several other college's - and Drew's were pretty much the same as the others - nothing to write home about, but not bad. They looked like teenagers lived there :-).

One thing I think is very good about Drew is that they seem to have enough space for their students and don't cram 3 kids into a room meant for 2 or 4 people into a room meant for 3 - ALL of the other schools we'd visited did the cramming thing!!!

They have one dorm that is only for freshman - Brown-Tolly (sp?) and another that is freshman and sophomore - Welch-Holloway.

Most of their rooms for freshman are doubles - which I think is better than triples (I don't like triples... 2 people tend to unite against the 1. Quads are better than 3s).

We attended the Welcome Reception last night and talked with some current students and they all felt that the dorms were really very adequate in size.

Another thing I thought about was many of the teenagers we talked to came from similar backgrounds as my son - they were used to having their own nice, comfortable rooms at home - maybe a bit spoiled - and they were not miserable at all - they all seemed very happy and pleased with their lives at Drew.

I think anyone attending Drew will be happy and content with the dorms there - if not, chances are, they would probably find fault with any college dorm situation.

This link might give you some info/pictures. My family is going in a couple of weeks and I'll get a more "close-up" look at the dorms. He told me they were average size for freshman, bigger than some we saw on tours, more soafter freshman year. Because he was interested in sub-free, he was shown them all on his visit, but Tolley and another one, have 1 floor are used for that choice. Nothing is quiet in a freshman dorm, but it was much more so than the usual floors for freshman he was told.

Lelaellen, glad to hear you had a nice time and I agree about the triples. (Some students have told me that has happened quite often)I didn't realize how many pictures Drew had online until I searched a bit.
