<p>General thoughts:</p>

<li><p>All are fantastic and you’ll get an outstanding engineering education. I’d choose for location, cost and other factors.</p></li>
<li><p>Each will be more heavily recruited by firms in the local area…Bay Area companies at Berkeley and Stanford, Northeast companies at Cornell and Gulf Coast companies at Rice. However, that’s not to say you can’t get a job anywhere in the country…you just may have to do a bit more legwork if you want a job outside of each university’s home region.</p></li>
<li><p>Berkeley will require you to pick an engineering discipline when you apply. Switching between engineering disciplines is kinda bureaucratic. I think the other colleges will allow you to explore other engineering disciplines and “test the waters” before selecting a discipline.</p></li>
