How are the guys at Cal?

888888888: How come? I took 17 units last semester and there were only two days where I had 8AMs per week.

awww you poor thing…

I’m staying up late because I don’t want it to be tomorrow, because the week’s problem set is TOUGH, and I don’t want to start it, but know I’ll have to tomorrow.

KitKatz, even if I’m trying to brainwash you, I assure you none of my words was false!

Sorry mathboy, but it is already the first of May at this point.

Just curious, why are you up so late KitKatz?

I’m also writing a card for my professor right now.

I’m studying for my ib bio test. I haven’t done any reading for that class for the past 2 months (oops). I did kinda bad on the last test because it was on evolution of vertebrates, and yeah…I couldn’t really bs through it. If I don’t study for this one, I’d probably lose my A. the test is on the nervous system. I hate all those miscellaneous terms. Looks like it’s going to be another all-nighter! I’ve had more of those in this past year than I can count, but most of it was for things not related to school…

Oh yeah and I was also studying for my calc test. the AP and IB test season starts next week and I have completely wasted my two weeks of spring break on ripping my hair out, trying to figure out which school I should go to when the answer was so obvious all along :)

mathboy: I can believe that :)

how dare you make accusations 88! lol i used to go every day too.

The days of AP and IB testing…That seems like such a long time ago. Good luck with your studying but don’t stress out too much! As for not school related reasons for all-nighters…You’ll probably get more of those in college (though that would depend on your choice of lifestyle too I would suppose).

if you dont mind me asking, what yr are you?

Thanks so much  I will try to not stress too much but I’m kind of anal about grades and tests. I can’t stand looking at a test paper that’s all marked up…and I can’t stand when I look at a test and feel like I don’t know a large portion of it. I don’t know if it’s my ego or what, I just can’t stand that feeling, even if I tell myself that that test wouldn’t hurt me in the long run. haha I sound like a freak of nature. No, actually I don’t party all that much. At least not the drunken orgy kind of thing. You’ll probably laugh at what I miss my sleep over. This past year, I got really hooked on agatha christie’s novels and Russian literature so I was actually reading sometimes three books a night…haha yeah…

^^ I wish I were Hercule Poirot, then I’d be much cooler than I am now.

Am also a sucker for Dostoevsky and stuff. Good taste, there! ;)

And Dill – sure, but who cares if May 1 is over, she was already committed to Berkeley  – still plenty to be learned about the school after May 1!!!

hhaha lol. batman :D.

my math 1a & my r5a class was at 8… lol

mathboy: I was referring to your problem sets actually. >.> Sorry for being vague!

Anyways, Happy May Day everyone! You should all go run around a pole and frolic.

All Quiet on the Western Front is the best book ever! I still need to finish reading The Brothers Karamazov.

The hell. I wanted to go swimming and it starts raining. I don’t want to swim in the rain. Damn weather…

What’s wrong with swimming in the rain?

possibly getting a cold. dunno how the weather is up at north cal, so i’m not sure if it was raining in the cold or one of those spring showers.

there’s nothing wrong with swimming in the rain. it’s getting out and having to get back to foothill that’s the problem. and it’s actually the cold shower, not like spring warm-ish type…

Yes, I love All Quiet on the Western Front. It’s also one of my favorite books! I even did a painting of one of the scenes in the novel, a butterfly on a skull. I liked Brothers Karamazov a lot, but not as much as Crime and Punishment.

Oh I worship Dostoyevsky and his wicked writing skills  Why, I would kiss the dirty earth for him! My only regret is that I can’t speak Russian…reading the originals would be epic! Even the translated version of Crime and Punishment sends chills down my spine! It’s nice a nice change from the innate evil of humans in Heart of Darkness :p. Conrad can write so awesomely as well, but he’s way too cynical…

^^ Haha, yes I guess this is true. Perhaps what I meant is that I would like to have his grey cells, but not change the way I look! My little grey ones may not be horrible, but his are unbeaten

Crime and Punishment kinda beats Brothers Karamazov to me as well, though to be honest, I remember it better than BK, and probably don’t remember Karamazov that well at all.

This was unexpected. I’ll have to reconsider my hatred for you. I’ll let you know in like 2 weeks if I retract it or not.

…So is your friend coming? :P
