These treads act as a way for ugly/nerdy/socially awkward people to defend their virginity. After all, its not THEIR fault they aren't having sex, its just that there aren't any girls who are worthy to deflower them. These guys are such studs that they wont lower themselves to the level of the uglies.

Calm down, I don't think that's why people start threads like this. I think many guys are geniunely interested in seeing how hot the girls are at a particular school, although they may not realize at first that all schools have hot, average, and ugly girls, in roughly the same proportions.

don't blame asian chicks on the berkeley ugly girls situation, man. i think it is the white chicks that drop the ball. i dont think berkeley's asian chicks are much uglier than ucla's asian chicks (given the percentage of asians is the same), but white chicks here are just not comparable to ucla's.

Actually I think this post has a point to it. There are quite a few good-looking Asian girls at Berkeley, but the white girls I've seen, for the most part, haven't impressed me. Maybe that's why I don't think Berkeley's girls are as bad as some people make it out to be. I'll admit if we were talking strictly about percentages of hot girls at Berkeley compared with say, UCLA, Berkeley's percentage might be a little lower, but Berkeley still has its share of good-looking females, so there's really little reason to complain about it.

"It's not shallow to talk about what girls are ugly"

Uh, yeah it is. As much as you like to deny it, it still is. I'll show you a breakdown (perhaps you'll get it then):

Shallow ---> superficial
superficial ---> on the "surface"
"ugly" = "on the surface"

Surely this syllogism is clear?

"maybe one day you will learn to have a real conversation without worrying about somebodies feelings getting hurt."

Or perhaps I'm mature enough to see that there are more important, less superficial matters to discuss. (Really, if you heard of "Berkeley vision," why would you feel compelled to make a topic about it? Would you really be that concerned? Pure logic can quell such pretty easily.)

I gotta disagree with you here, kyledavid80. I don't think it's shallow or superficial to talk about girls or how ugly they are. Just like it's not shallow to like a college based on how beautiful its campus is. Looks matter, and it's fine to care about them. It's just another topic to discuss. Superficiality comes in only when someone cares about looks way too much. So, caring about how good-looking a girl is wouldn't be that superficial, but wanting to date a girl purely on the basis of her looks is a bit superficial.
