I've been trying to compile a solid list of schools that are pretty strong in Econ, mathematics, and political science. I haven't been able to find much on Tufts for these majors, I just keep finding good things about their IR program.

The most popular majors at Tufts are: International Relations, Political Science, Economics, Biology, Chemistry, English.

Since you specifically asked about polisci -- Tufts has a great program; the polisci dept. is very strong and in fact since the IR major is interdisciplinary, many of the courses you need to take for the IR major are taken through the polisci dept. Check out the polisci dept's webpage; the faculty's resumes are very impressive. I've loved every class I've taken in polisci.

Economics is huge at Tufts and its professors are awesome as well. And if you're especially interested in math as you indicated, you should also consider the Quantitative Economics major, which is more math-based; in fact, most people who are Quant Econ majors double-major in Math. The Math dept is very good; also check out the impressive faculty's resumes on the dept website. It's small but that also means that you have more contact with profs than at, say, MIT. In fact, grad students come from all over, incl undergrad math programs at schools like MIT, to work with specific faculty members at Tufts who are highly-specialized in certain mathematical fields.

I guess what I'm trying to tell you is that Tufts is an overall strong school, and it just so happens that most of those things you're interested in are particularly strong programs at an already all-around good school. Good luck!

thanks a lot for the reply, I keep hearing nothing but good things about Tufts.

Yes, i've been thrilled with the poli sci department, EVERY professor is incredible, the econ classes i've taken have been great (I think they're also developing the Econ dept b/c it's becoming such a popular major), and the math professors i've had have been astonishingly good at what they do.
