There are quite a few African American students at CMU. Everyone gets along very well and interracial dating is apparent. There is an asian female dating a black male two floors below me (if you msg me during summer break I'll actually give you their names :)).

With such racial diversity, there is almost no racism. The only "racism" you see is the fobby asians hanging out together (I guess you can't really blame them since a lot of them only speak Korean and have broken English).

For every other race, there is a huge amount of mingling. Come visit CMU (preferably New House because we're the best :)) and see for yourself.

good! thanks for the insight. i plan on visiting this summer!!

How is a group of Asians hanging out together considered racist? That's the most ignorant thing I've heard in a long time.

We were talking about racial diversity. You shouldn't read just the words but understand the context under which the discussion took place. "Besides a bunch of internationals hanging out together, most races at CMU mingle and diversify." is basically what I meant. In other words, not all African Americans hang out together and not all Caucasians hang out together.

Well from what I've heard, fobby asians are basically a group of asians who stick together and don't easily welcome other races so that is easily racist. That would be like a bunch of whites hanging out and never allowing themselves to add a african american into the group.
