How are these 17 units? (1st sem freshman)

IDK. . . I've heard that 13-15 units are ideal for an entering freshman, but I really want to take a language class! Could someone tell me if this courseload is okay? I just don't want to be doing work 24/7 or anything.

poli sci 2 (4 units)
math 16a (3 units)
eng 24 (1 unit)
french 1 (5 units)
french rca (4 units)

French 1 is much less work than its unit count suggests. It’s more like a 2-3 unit class. You’ll be fine. In fact I bet your workload for PS 2 will be at least three times the workload for French 1.

Haha, cool thanks. Do you (or anyone) know if the rca course is going to be particularly hard. . .

French R&C doesn’t have the reputation of being the easiest or hardest. It really depends on what your GSI expects. It isn’t too difficult but it does get annoying because of the number of essays you have to write.

ah, thank you so much !!! =)
