How are these ECs?

I'm currently a junior. I'm hardly involved at school. I am in one club, and it is an academic competition-type club that meets weekly.

Outside of school, I do:
- Volunteering (2 different hospitals, totaling 400 hours)
- Peer Leader in eating disorder support group at hospital in a different town(not sure if I should mention this)
- Piano lessons since I was 4
- Creator of support group for eating disorders in local area - diagnosed with anorexia nervosa in 7th grade, struggled with it through high school, began support group for everyone, regardless of gender, type of eating disorder, size, etc. (once again, not sure if I should mention this)
- Work experience - Fast food restaurant my freshman year, another fast food restaurant my sophomore year, and an internship at an insurance company the summer of my junior year (hopefully).

I have other interests and extracurriculars as well, but not many worth mentioning (softball in the summer, hobbies like reading, etc.)

How do these extracurriculars look to schools like Boston College, Notre Dame (legacy), Washington & Lee, and Haverford? (those are my reach schools)

My GPA is my weakest point (UW 3.7/4.0, lots of APs), test scores (ACT 34 & Subject Tests Math 2 & Physics 800 both) and I'm afraid my ECs will also bring down my application. Also, I'm asian, so I know that that will hurt my chances with admissions. I'm also worried that bringing light to my past with eating disorders would look bad too. Thanks for reading!

I just want to say that I am really impressed that you created a support group for eating disorders. It really ties into the fact that you overcame your own struggles and worked at really tried to make a difference through it. I can only imagine that this will help your application. In regards to GPA, you have a chance so try to raise it up (I was in the same boat, asian with around 3.7). Junior year is your most important year so give it all you got! If you’re not that involved in school, show the admission officers how much dedication you showed in your activities outside of school! Best of luck!

Not everyone is an athlete, that’s ok. The eating disorder thing is good, just be careful to word it so it doesn’t look like you are pining for sympathy.
