how are these schools different?

like the title says...

JHU vs. Northwestern vs. WUSTL

UC Berkeley vs. UMichigan

Stanford vs. Princeton vs. Cornell

What comes to mind as the distinguishing factors between these??

JHU is nerdiest of the three by far. Small population goes out, but its the smallest school people that students also love the least of the three. Northwestern is larger than WUSTL, more prestigious, better connections, better grad placement.

Berkeley is Cali!

Stanford, Princeton, and Cornell are VERY different. Not that comparable.

i guess i should add to that, what are the differences between the PHYSICS departments??

Hopkins is big into lacrosse during the spring...its a HUGE deal around here (I'm from Baltimore), and I don't know if WUSTL and NW get that big into athletics...
Hopkins also has a nice campus in a nice neighborhood...don't know about the other two
Like I said, I'm from Baltimore, so I know JHU well, and my dad went there...hope this helps, sorry I don't know much about the other 2
