How are transfers viewed after college?

Hey all,
I transferred from Hamilton to Brown and have begun working with Career Services to figure out options for summer internships, etc. Do you think potential summer employers, grad schools, or future long-term employers will look down on me as a transfer? I guess I'm wondering if the spectrum woudld be like:

Brown for four years > Brown for three years, Hamilton for one > Hamilton for four years

Or maybe I'll be viewed the same as a Brown student...?

Any thoughts?

Thanks,
Claymangs

I think you're trying too hard in here. I'd think a degree is a degree whether you transferred or not...

i dont see why it would matter at all unless they needed to know your gpa from all schools attended or something like that. you ARE a brown bear now :)

The degree is the bottomline when you graduate. Your previous college is irrelevant, unless you're considering grad school.

I mean, sure the degree is the bottom line in some sense. But grad schools are going to see transcripts from two colleges, so they'll def know...right?

Will I just put down:

Brown University
A.B in Economics
GPA: XX

or will I need to include Hamilton on my resume for all potential employers (do they request transcripts)?

I am a transfer student (from the Dark Ages). S is a recent transfer student with good success in his job search.

So, from personal experience (x2): it will not matter. You will need to provide all transcripts for some job apps; and you will need to provide all transcripts for post-graduate study.

But your resume will say just as you've outlined in the above post, unless you choose to list your prior school(s).

You will not be looked down upon.
