How are tuition fees calculated?

I'm looking into signing up for a class or two in summer sessions, and the cost for a currently-enrolled undergrad is $254 per unit. I looked it up and the educational fees per semester for an undergrad is $3131. Say you take a 15-unit courseload - that's roughly $208 per unit. Is it worth it to pay $46 more per unit to take classes over the summer? I'm pre-business, and I was thinking about taking an R1B course to get that done with and hopefully boost my GPA.

I have enough space in my schedule for the 2009-2010 academic year to take all the courses I need. It's just that the second semester of sophomore year is not counted in the GPA that Haas looks at, so I feel like I have to "cram" everything into my first three semesters.

Thoughts?
