How are you guys doing it?!

It seems like Everyone on CC is getting 2200+!

how??? I've been studying/doing practice tests using the PR sats book (only practiced the math) and I only got a 570 on the april sat =

do you all study? or does it come naturally? it seems like it's all natural ... =

For most people here I think it's 60% natural, 35% study, 5% luck.

Take a prep course. A good one. Take many practice tests. The more tests you take, the higher the score for most students.

do you mean 1570?

570 is impossible

Nope, I meant like a 570 on the math section (I got a 1750 overall, 600 CR and 580 W)

and I took a PR course but it did Absolutely Nothing

and I've been using their practice tests book and I really thought that I got better but I only went up 10 points (from the practice tests we took in the course) and I actually went down 20 points in writing (I got a 600 on the last practice test for PR)

well not everyone is meant to get good scores on it lol.

One on one tutoring was key for me. I got a 1600 on the PSAT and my first few practice tests. On the April SAT I got an 1800, the tutoring was well worth the money.

logisticslord, I know, but Everywhere on CC seems to be getting 2200+ and I'm just curious how, and they're all saying that they don't study at all

i don't get 2200+...i hang around in the 1800s. but i hope to get 1900~2000 on the test today.

I'm praying for a 2200+ Ill probably get 2100 though

I do think that, for most people, scoring well on the SAT comes naturally. Yes, you can study strategies and take practice tests to familiarize yourself with the format, and I'm sure people study math or vocab they don't know, but that can only go so far. You're either a good standardized test taker or you're not.

Why are you guys even complaining? I am relaxed with my 420v 700m 540w today.

lil_killer129, I'd like to be sure that I'm going to get into the schools I want to :)

and besides, its a self-esteem booster :)

and because its CC! A land where 2390 is not enough!

For me, it was about 85% natural talent, 15% studying, and no luck.

scored around 2150 before I started prepping. prepped a lot during spring break and the week before sats. raised to a 2390. No luck since I got perfect on the last practice test... It felt so much like a perfect... but it wasn't.

CC is a land where not only 2390 isn't enough, but a 2400 5.0w 4.0uw Nobel prize winning under-represented minority from South Dakota will be paranoid of rejection from the local community college.
