How are you preparing for fall sports?

^Define several? If its nike 56 miles away that’s understandable but…

^hahahha, true. Cause, there are a few gyms several miles from my house, but when I mean several I mean 5 or 6…which really isn’t anything.

^yeah, you could walk that.

Soccer, NOT GOING ANYTHING JUST EATING AND RELAXATING! Like is summer so I’m trying to do whatever before doing all those exercise stuffs…

Well, I live in a neigborhood with its own gyms…though I can’t go everyday.

I have a gym in my apartment building

My neighborhood has a gym too, and it used to be really nice but it’s pretty run-down now. Well, i used to do gymnastics so I guess I know enough exercises that don’t require machines.

CREW!!! but at public school…and I am a fat lazy couch potato ;)

i have to do a swimming test for a crew camp that im doing…i have put it off but im worried i wont pass because i am terrible at swimming. i have to tread water for 5 minutes and swim 150 m

I like swimming! I swim in the winter :)

i swim almost everyday i live on a lake so its pretty close.

eukalyptus, you’re so lucky! I have a friend who lives next to a lake and she can go swimming or kayaking all the time. I love water(:

Cross country runner here guys
I don’t get as much time as I would like to for pre-season. Mostly because of work, prep, community service, and drivers Ed.

I run about 12-15 miles a week (4-5 miles every other day), swim laps for 30 mins afterwards.

Mostly I spend alot of time playing ball with friends at the Y. Haven’t done any ab workouts lately so I’ll probably get killed during the first week of practice.

I’m going out for tennis this fall. My dad was formerly ranked 300th, so I have trained with him most every day this summer. I can’t really remember when we started but I know that I have had 57 days worth of lessons from him since we started specifically “getting ready for preseason.” The past 7 have been “playing” days where we just hit and play sets. The other 50 days we worked on grooving my strokes, a.e. he fed balls to me. In addition I work out for about an hour to an hour and a half each day. Lifting weights. Running. I’m hoping to put on about 7-10 lbs of muscle while at the same time dropping 15lbs to quiken my footwork. It’s been an extremely busy summer.

Well not really a fall sport, but I am preparing for wrestling. I wrestle in NC and deferred my scholarship to Duke, to go to Massachusetts for a PG year. I’m only 17, so this PG yr will be very beneficial. I am a 2x national All-american, and won the state championship in NC.

I’ve been preparing for this winter season, by doing what I do every off-season; wrestling ! I’ve been going to alot of off-season tournaments, and just came back from a wrestling camp at Carolina beach. I’ve been working out with great clinicians (NCAA all-americans and champions). I lift a little weights for toning up, but not for weight gain or mass. Pushups and situps every night, and squats/level changes.

Cant wait to start the PG yr and continue my success off and on the mat!

^sickness. where r u PG’ing?

^^ Northfield Mount Hermon

I wouldve been going there if i had gotten adequate fa. nice choice! doing any other sports to keep in shape? football?track?

No, all i do its wrestle all summer. Apparently, however, I have to compete in two sports at NMH. I’m signed up for cross-country, but i think ill change it to ultimate frisbee ( fun sport), but i dont know how competitive frisbee is up in MA. I have never done any other sport, but i have played “backyard” ultimate frisbee with some friends

NMH’s Ultimate is sick, they even have their own tourney. Idk who else they play but amherst is pretty sick too. idk if they play them though. u can check the site.
