How are you supposed to study for the SATs when you have so many other things to do?

How are you guys studying for the SATs with loads of schoolwork, AP studying, and Ecs? Do you guys recommend study a little of everything everday?? I'm having a hard time getting everything I schedule done.

Many simply don't. I would've done better on the SAT had school not always stolen my time.

dude i have the exact same problem. I told myself to spend 4 hours on each weekend to study for the SAT but then it fails for the 1st quarter haha. I mean I told the SAT class last summer, but I still need to improve my Reading Comprehension a lot. So yeah I'm trying to spend some time to study SAT in the next quarter. I don't think you can actually have time besides the weekends to do this except for the summer.

Teachers pretend the SAT doesn't exist because they aren't paid base on your scores on the SAT, but they are paid based on their reptuation in terms of teaching, so they fill you up with as much work as possible to make themselves seem good

my advice: make time
just stay up that extra hour....
sry..i bet that didn't help

Squeeze it in like half an hour everyday instead of trying to do it all in one sitting on a weekend. Besides, it sticks better if you study regularly. And an extra half an hour won't kill you or rob you of much sleep.

Saturdays.....it's all about the saturdays, trust me.

I do hw, study for competitions, do SAT prep, and a lot of other stuff on Saturday.

You study for the SAT and develop really good test-taking skills in middle school [1], when you have nothing to do.

[1] Freshman year might work too, depending on if you're doing other stuff.

I would generally study for an an hour everyday... half an hour for math and the other on vocabulary.. good luck man

Summer?

/* 10char */

yeah, i am really glad i studied during the summer. i increased my june score by almost 200 points in october.

I don't study for the SATs...then again, that may not work for all people. Just study for your math and English classes, and the SATs do themselves.

I just studied my butt off over the week I had off.

I never studied for it either. I only took it once, so I'm not sure how I would've done had I studied for it. Usually CollegeBoard will have a little "SAT Question of the Day" thing that you can get by going to their site or signing up and having it e-mailed to you. It's not an intense review, but it is a review nonetheless. Also, if you ever find yourself with some extra time, it wouldn't hurt to go through a practice test to make sure you know everything. If you find a weak area, just review it briefly. Don't get too stressed out over studying for it. The key is to stay relaxed and work over a period of time rather than cram at the last minute.

Study during summer.

Yeah I'm taking the December SAT but I have soooo much other crap going on right now that I can barely find time to study for the SAT.

I'll be retaking at least one more time tho, probably two, so I'm not freaking out about December.
