how bad are 3 Cs and 1 C+ on your transcript?

During my freshman and Sophmore year I did pretty well, I got mostly As/A-s and some Bs. My Gpa was pretty high (around 3.8). But during my Junior and senior year I told much harder classes. For example, my first semester junior year I got a C in Calculus II. During the second semester that same year I got a C in Macroeconomics course. And during my 1st semester senior year I got a C in an Accounting course. And this last semester I got a C+ in an upper lever econ course. (I am an Econ major by the way).

My gpa is now 3.6 so I am still a cum laude, but I am scared and upset about those Cs. Wil they hurt me a lot, especially since 2 of them are in my major and they were in my junior and senior year? Is it only the final gpa that counts or do law schools actually look at your transcript? And is a 3.6 still competitive?

All that matters is the GPA as reported by LSAC. Really. As long as your GPA is in their range, most schools don’t care how it got there. Exceptions being HYS (and maybe a little further down the T14), who have their pick of 3.8 / 175 students.
