I took the November SAT and I just got the biggest freaking curve. I got only 4 questions wrong, yet my score is low compared to what it usually should be. I know sat scales and everything but is it possible that college board messed the scale up?

No, not possible. Which section, and what score? You can always check out Erikthered’s site to see past curves (from released exams).

Math section

I just checked, the lowest score given for 4 wrong is twenty pointy more than mine

The November SAT was curved extremely harshly, math especially. One question missed dropped you from an 800 to a 750. Reading was harsher too, three questions missed was a 760 instead of the usual 780.

As for them messing up the scale? No chance. The test was easier than usual, so they curved it harsher than usual, meaning your scores are still representative of your actual ability, that’s how normalizing and standardization work, and not artificially inflated by a harsh curve.

Sorry if that isn’t what you wanted to hear.

@wrywry has it.
