I'm either going to Pitt or Penn state. Right now I had a D and two B's. I know the D is bad and I will get that up to at least a C, but I'm a little worried about Pitt or Penn state taking back their admissions. How bad would my grades have to be to lose acceptance?

Pick up your socks now and get to work! Senioritis is not a good thing. Colleges DO rescind offers. However, normally it requires more than one D and a pattern of abject laziness and so forth…a C wont get you tossed. But a couple of F’s in classes that matter and which would endanger you graduating high school would be real trouble.

For your own sake, you want to graduate on a high note and in a good place. Hard work pays off.

Yea your right thanks for the advice and encouragement.

^^^^^^, I am sure you will be fine…just stick to your studies. All colleges require students to submit complete transcripts and their admissions are contingent on you graduating. I know of a case years ago at UNC where a kid slacked and flunked several courses and UNC rescinded. The kid sued saying it was a contract. The judge threw him out of court very quickly. Its a contingent contract…contingent on maintaining the type of grades that got you admitted and graduating. There is SOME flexibility there…it happens. But generally it requires a couple of Fs’ to get in hot water. Better not tempt them. Do your best. Get to work. Get tutoring if necessary. College is not a skate or walk in the park. The number of kids who party and blow out is shocking.

Good luck.
