how bad do u have to screw up to have admission rescinded

i have a cumulative uw gpa of 3.3 through hs, and got into UNC OOS. I am in the IB program and am taking an extremely tough course load, and my 1st semester gpa will be probably be around a 2.6. As long as i work hard second semester will i still be able to go to UNC?

yes.. be consistent

defintitely no D's or F's

im probably going to get a AB Calc grade somewhere between a C- and C+, all other grades are B and higher. Like that isnt bad enough for them to take rescind my app right?

I know that UMich's stance on this is no more than 2 C's as final grades... so I think you should be fine, gijonman. I know I sure don't have a 4.0 this quarter (taking physics AP without having taken any physics prior has been a real challenge) but I don't have any C's, so I'm guessing I'll be okay.

rep for unc told counselor that they can overlook a c here and there but that if gpa goes down much then they do relook at accepted applicants and can rescind. they have a hugh deferred/waitlist pool so deduct from that. I don't think one bad grade does it but a d or f would definitely cause a relook.

ok i mean like besides that one class, the rest of my grades are at least a B or higher and without including that one class GPA is same so i guess i should be fine. Calc and me are just an awful combo.

I know how you feel, I'm not doing so hot in BC.

Did they ask for the mid-year grades on you application? Because on my acceptance they only asked for final grades.

i only know that my school sends mid year grades to everyone
