how bad do ur grades have to drop to get your admissions revoked?

what grades? c's? d's? f's?

When an admission's representative came to my school back in October, he said that the admitted student will go through a "process" if the student gets more than 2 C's.

seriously?
oh wow...
process?

You don't want the process. Today B's are like C's at most hs's.

what?
what do you mean today's b's are like c's?

what's the process?

i'm getting mostly b's and most likely a c...

what's going to happen?

i need help too
everyone keeps tellin me about gettin my admissions taken away, am i in bad shape

when i was accepted, i had a 3.84 and was in the top 20%

my first quarter gpa was a 4.1
and second quater i have a c+, b, b+, a- and a

i have stopped doing anything at all... am i in trouble, or can i continue doing nothing????

jnorsky18. Mich only revoked 20 kids in 2003. You should be ok.

A b today in hs is like a c 20 years ago. So long as you have b's you'll be OK, but a c which is really a d could be a red flag.

i was wondering the same thing myself...i usually get a's and a-'s but i bombed two calc tests this quarter and may wind up with anything between a c and b (i assume b-). I think colleges will revoke your admissions if you do terribly in all subjects...i mean one C, big deal..maybe alexandre can comment on this.

don't fret about being revoked..chances are very unlikely. however, dipping into lower grades will make that chance a bigger reality.

last year I had a friend who got accepted to Georgetown, and she got incredibly lazy letting her grades drop from an A average (94) to straight B's accross the board (excluding band) and I think she even got a C in AP Gov't Bringing her average down to Low 80's. Anyway, Georgetown didnt even put her on probation, and that was a huge drop.

I know georgetown isn't the same as U of M but I assume universities would be even more lenient in their admissions revoke policies?

I've never known anyone who had their admissions revoked and even during our senior assembly she said only one person in our school in 4 years had been put on academic probation.

Anyway my thoughts are that your grades have to be pretty atrocious (Straight C's maybe a D) for you to get your admissinos revoked.

karido's 100% right. your grades have to be, in all honesty, pretty darn terrible for your admission to be revoked. but becoming lazy with academics really won't work in your favor for many years to come, especially when you have a new learning environment ahead of you. early bad habits in high school can easily continue in one's college years (believe me, i've seen plenty of people experience this).

I just called NYU and basically, they said that even if you're suffering in one class, just pass it and it'll be okay. Then, if you're getting into a whole lot of trouble with your classes, let the admin.office know, so that they are aware of the fact...and you'll probably be fine also. If your avg drops by like 1 point, it's not really going to effect your acceptance. A huge change in your average will do the damage, really. So, now I am more or less at peace. I will definetly do much much much better though in the spring to keep my avg good.
I know you people are going for UMich, but I thought this info has a good quality and use nonetheless.
