How bad do W's look on a transcript?

I am a senior in college and I had rough semester. I have been dealing with health issues and I was going to file for a medical withdrawal but I don't want to drop ALL of my classes this semester since I already paid for them and because I've worked so hard and there's only about a month left.

I decided to change my major this semester and I will actually graduate sooner than I planned but I will have 2 W's on my transcript. They are for science courses for my former major, biology and I am now a psychology major (they are not necessary for this major). If I can explain that this is medically related and I have documentation (in my grad school applications) will this be ok? Or am I in trouble? Like I said, I would try to withdrawal and my doctors have recommended it but I have worked so hard and I really don't want to give up all my classes. Plus I am still enrolled in a psychology class this semester that I can use toward finishing my psychology requirements.

They look infinitely better than Fs.See if one of your LOR writers can discuss how you persevered despite dealing with medical issues.

I have a squillion Ws on my transcript and it didn’t appear to matter.
