I unfortunately got a C in APCALC AB, which is my first C ever.
It depends on what type of colleges you are applying to. If you’re applying to highly selective colleges, it will hurt your chances because many applicants will be applying with As and Bs in AP courses.
You aren’t doomed, but I agree with the above. One C will likely not doom you in that you are notgoing to be shut out of all colleges you applied to. And there are other factors at play, such as test scores, letters of Rec, etc… Relax, you can’t fix it.
Another factor is when you get the C. If you’re a junior and this a midterm grade, you can pull up to a B and it’s possible that colleges will never even see the C. If you’re a senior and this goes on a midyear report, it depends on how the report is overall. It’s not great to have a C on there, of course, but it could be seen as one outlier in one course for just one semester, if everything else is good.
Not much, as long as you have an upward trend in your gpa.
