how bad does one's grades have to be to have their admissions revoked?

Generally, how bad does your grades have to be to have your admissions revoked at NYU. Generally, i get As and Bs but would a C in an advanced class get my admissions revoked IF i did get in ED?

Probably not. Most U.S. schools never check anyways. I’m in the IB curriculum and universities accept us based on our predicted marks. I’ve known people that dropped ALOT on their final exams and still went to the university they were accepted into.

A “C” would not be so damaging; however, many D’s and F’s will call for your admission to be revoked because you couldn’t maintain your general standard of academic performance.

You would literally have to have a string of Fs or not be eligible to graduate. My friend almost had his admission to JHU revoked because he had multiple Incompletes.

maybe if you got like all C’s that could be a problem. from what i know D’s and F’s can hurt you but i never heard of anyone getting revoked for a C

I don’t think you would be revoked for a C, but I have heard of someone getting put on academic probation freshman year for getting a C in one class his senior year of high school.

I feel like if I get in, I’m just going to aim for B’s in all my classes and maybe a C in AP English. Then, come AP exam time, I’ll study. I mean they really can’t revoke you, can they?

^ actually they CAN revoke you but they rarely do… I’ve heard of universities sending “warning” letters though, to say something like “you had better keep up the grades we expect you to get once you come here or GOODBYE” :S

I’ve heard of one UC university that revoked admission when the kid got an F.

I don’t go by the U.S. system … but I’d think that you’d have to try pretty hard to get an F  I mean come on… just show up in class and do SOME of your homework :D
