How bad does this look?

I had to send corrected CSS Profiles to several schools after getting our final income tax figures.

With the corrected CSS pages, I enclosed a brief cover letter addressed to the school's financial aid office. I had to send this to 5 different colleges. I made up the envelopes and only had time to mail 3 of the letters yesterday. This morning, as I was stuffing the last 2 letters inside their respective envelopes, I was horrified to realize that I inadvertently sent the cover letter for College A and mailed it to College B.

Do I email them and let them know of my error or just hope they don't notice it? Very doubtful that they won't notice such a glaring mistake!

I guess my question is:::: Did I just ruin chances of admission with college B?

I wouldn’t worry about it…college know that students apply to multiple schools and the FA office doesn’t make admissions decisions anyway. In fact, the mail there is probably opened by student workers.

Also, the schools’ FA departments are not making admissions decisions. I wouldn’t worry about it at all.
