How bad is 690, Math IIC?

<p>Hello,</p>

<p>I received my Math IIC score yesterday, and I got a 690 :/ I took only one other SAT II, Literature, and I got a 760 in that.</p>

<p>I am applying to several selective colleges which require two SAT IIs. I am kinda worried about sending the Math IIC score now. Overall, I am trong academically - 2300 SAT, been top of my class throughout (I'm international, btw), and Math is actually one of my best subjects in school and my transcript shows very high Math grades. So will my Math II score reflect poorly on me?</p>

<p>retake it, you probably just had a bad day. study more before and get it up to make your app the best it can be</p>

<p>It may make adcoms think that grade inflation was present, if you’re doing something math related in college I would retake it, if not just don’t submit it.</p>

<p>That is what worries me, they might think it’s grade inflation, which is NOT the case. In fact Indian schools are known for drastic grade deflation in 11th and 12th. But I am not doing anything related to Math/Science - I’m gonna major in English Lit. Do you think that might mitigate it?</p>

<p>I would take both Math Level I and Math Level II in January. You are just not in a science curriculum, and Level II may be too much of a stretch. There is nothing wrong with using Math Level I when you are not applying for engineering or science.</p>
