How bad is a C?

Allright guys, I need some reassurance. I am normally a good student. I’m and Honors/Ap student (sophomore). I normally get A’s with a couple B’s. But this year Honors Chem has been a struggle. I have a C+ right now and there’s a good chance I’ll finish with a C. My mom thinks C’s look really really bad on a transcript. What im wondering is, is she right or over reacting? Getting 1 C in a tough honors class isnt TOO BAD is it?

Meh. You should consider eating lard for a living now because a C = No Job = Ruined Future = Shame of Family = Family cutting you off = Live Large and Chew Out at that Lard

Zucchini is right, might as well just go kill yourself now.

*we are joking, no its not that bad, it could be better but dont make it a habbit

Depends on what schools you’re going to be aiming for. If you’re not planning on applying to universities with 5% acceptance rates (from which even students with 4.0s can and do get rejected) then you might be okay! Just try your best and work as hard as you can.

(Would like to add that telling someone to kill themselves, even/especially as a joke, is reprehensible. Get off the internet before someone takes your words at face value.)

Eh its pretty bad, but it alone wont stop you from getting into really good universities especially if you plan on majoring in something that doesnt have that big of a focus on chemistry
Try to get it up, a B- does look a lot better than a C+
Also getting a really good grade in AP chem would help and show improvement

Brought it up to a B, so things are looking good anyways
