How bad is a W on a transcript for business internships/jobs?

In general... I am struggling tremendously with Math 104. If I work my ass off, I will probably get a C/C+/B-(if lucky). As expected, this will destroy my GPA pretty badly. I assume that job recruiters/etc largely evaluate the GPA, experience, and extracurricular, isn't that right? So, a W on a transcript would hurt my chances less than a lower GPA? Opinions, please?

My GPA is actually not too great right now though. The grade in Calculus would probably bring it down from a 3.5 to a 3.1/3.2.

If you need to take 104 now or ever (if you are in Wharton, doing econ), then take the C and try and get it up to the B-. For internships, I’m not sure but I’m guessing for banking/consulting the W in 104 would look about as bad as a C. For non quantitative things, a W would probably be better than a C. I think the decision comes down to what you are trying to do class/career wise. Also, if it is realistic for you to get B-, definitely stay in it.
