I think I just bombed AP French, and probably earned my first ever C. Could Barnard revoke my offer of admission over this? I'm a little nervous.

D and F is what get’s the adcom office alarmed, not C. Especially not AP C.

seems pretty unlikely. However you should call or email Barnard and update them. You’ll probably hear a reassuring reply, something like one C doesn’t matter but don’t let it happen in all your classes (eg senioritis). And in the unlikely case it does cause them to reconsider, wouldn’t you rather know now when you can still apply to other colleges?

I’ve already applied to 10 other schools. will calling help or draw attention to the problem?

I really want my mid-year report to be important.

My grades go like this:

9th, 3.5 3.5
10th, 3.7, 3.5
11th, 3.9, 3.85
12th (mid year report) 4.0

Will my mid-year report be important?
I just cannot believe that colleges even consider 9th and 10th grade scores, they dont
mean anything.

Many schools do not consider 9th grade GPA but all do for 10th grade so they obviously DO mean something. HS GPA is generally considered the best indicator of how students will perform in college. Your mid-year report will be important for a school where you might be on the bubble for admission (and a bad report could knock you right off that bubble).

I’d agree that a single C is probably fine (unless it’s grouped with a load of B’s after you’ve had three perfect years), but don’t let anything else drop. Good job on Barnard!
