alright so i am taking 5 ap classes plus playing soccer. right now i have a c in ap physics and 2 bs in ap german and ap economics... i think i can raise my german grade tho and i have never gotten a c before. how much is this going to affect my applications? i applied to rice, northwestern, colgate, yale, middlebury, claremont mckenna and ucs. also i applied early to pomona as a recruited athlete and they deferred me saying they wanted to see my senior grades..

It's going to hurt no doubt. Try to raise that C to a B and hope for the best.

A B could be forgiven.

I'm not sure if a C in AP Physics could be forgiven. That's why I decided to take AP Bio in junior year and AP Chem this year instead of AP Physics.

Is this AP physics B or C?

I'll end by saying last year someone on CC didn't send in a midterm report into Cornell and called its office. The office told him "don't worry about it; we don't really look at it."

I also had a C in AP Physics, but was able to raise it to a b-. I was told be many reps that it wouldn't affect my chances because schools wanted to see that you were still challenging yourself your senior year. And they know some people don't get physics and they know AP physics is hard. I wouldn't worry about it.

Do senior grades/classes really matter?

they lied to make them feel better

^right, did they tell you that?

i wish it was like that..... "we don't look at it"

but i doubt it especially for RD, even though i am doing horrible, ppl have been saying it's really important because it portrays your most recent academic achievements..
I am getting like C+ or B- in AP Calc, and B in AP Chem,
