Hi,
I’ve been that straight A kid all my life, so forgive me if this sounds melodramatic. I’ve had all A’s from freshman to junior year, with six AP classes and all the rest being honors. This semester, I had four AP classes, one honors, and two regular (hardest schedule possible). I got high A’s in everything except Calc, which I got a B in. Will this kill my chances for schools like Cornell, Dartmouth, Columbia, Georgetown, WUSTL, or William and Mary?
No.
If you get rejected from any of those schools, it won’t be because of one B.
One B is definetly not a big deal. People get more than one B and still go on to a great future.
you seriously worry this may “kill your chances”? That only a handful of kids w/o straight A’s get accepted to these schools?
If you want something to worry about, worry about how the overall pkg will look. Do you have accomplishment and/or achievement in ECs? At least 2 teachers that like you enough to write a strong letter?
Yep. Im sorry dude but your life is over. You might as well pack your bags now and move down south and become a farmer. Raise some livestock and live out the rest of your days. Your chances at college are gone.
Lol just kidding. One B isn’t going to do anything if all your other grades are A’s. Just look to raise that B up in the future.
Please stop.
These colleges take a holistic approach when evaluating applicants, meaning that one B will have a minute effect.
of course, B’s are terrible, no chance at any college, you should prob drop out already
Yep your done. The B will not only get you rejected from colleges…BUT ALSO you will receive a $250,000 fine from the federal government and up to 5 years in state prison.
It’s clear that I am joking, but it’s because I’m jealous of you like SUPER JEALOUS. I had two Bs freshman year and two B+ right now in sophomore year. Please I want your grades so bad.
