So last year (freshmen year), I ended up with an 84.4% in a non honors basic math class. It was my only non advanced, non-honors class, too. In all my other classes I got As, and one B+ in Spanish 2. These grades brought my GPA way low, from a 4.2 weighted to a 3.67 weighted. This year, I’m in all honors and AP but I worry on how much this affects my chances at colleges in the near future. Can any one answer my question?
I know that some colleges don’t factor in your freshman grades when calculating GPA. I don’t think it’s that much of a big deal since colleges know that you’re still adjusting to high school. They want to see an upward trend of grades throughout high school. Try to aim for all A’s this year and especially next year. Plenty of people get admitted to colleges with a C, so don’t worry too much about it
