Time is slipping away. How bad would it be if I submit my application two or three days after the deadline? I'm going to submit CommonApp over the net.
What about supplements? Will they freeze in the midnight?
How about the school report and recommendations? What if they were sent late?
I know that it is bad to procrastinate, but would they accept those one day late applications?

maybe by mail, but i dont know if they stop accepting them over the net. don't risk it.

Two or three days?? Don't even try- get to work now!!

I'll do my work on time, but I'm afraid that school report and rec's might be late. It's being sent by mail, so I hope they will accept them...

The school report recs are out of your control so you won't be penalized if they are late. But definitely get your own part of the application in on time.

the deadline for snail mail is usually (unless they say otherwise...like WUSTL) a postmark deadline which means it needs to get to the post office by that day. Regardless...as long as your part of the app is in BY the deadline, the other stuff shouldn't be too much of a problem if it's sent in a day or two late.

Going over the deadline is not procrastinating; it's stupidity. Why would you risk being automatically rejected from a college because you decided not to submit your app on time? Finish your apps and send them in by the deadline. There are no excuses.

If your recs are one or two days late, it should be OK because they will still be organizing and processing. If you're measuring the time in weeks, though, you could be in serious trouble.

Procrastination is the bane of my existence. Somehow, though, I always find a way to pull through. I haven't even started three apps that are due ranging from Dec. 31 to Jan. 3, but I'll get it done somehow. I highly recommend that you send your application by the deadline, even if it is not your best work. The risks of sending it in too late are way too high to even think about this. I would go into more detail, but I think I'll do it later.

yeah, finish them at all costs. that's what i'm doing. i do my best work at night though so do whatever is better for u. ur recs can reach the school as late as a couple weeks but ur application should not be delayed.

Unless the school specifically says "We accept applications after the deadline only if space is available" you're screwed.

If you get ridiculously lucky the online servers will crash and the school will extend the deadline. This happened at the Uni. of Cal. admissions, as well as MIT's early action.
