How bad is the math program?

<p>I've heard some disappointing things about the Math Department (i.e. lecturers have a poor grasp of English). I was planning to double major in financial mathematics and financial economics with a minor in statistics.</p>

<p>But if the math program is just subpar, then maybe I won't.</p>

<p>Any current UVA students have any insight?</p>
