Does it smell bad? Have you developed any respiratory problems?

You won’t even notice it.

I run around the track several times a week - no problem.

My kids both have mild intermittent asthma. Their breathing is MUCH better at USC than home in beautiful Hawaii; rarely ever need to use their rescue inhaler or any medication. Their biggest problem is keeping their places vacuumed, so they bought themselves a robotic vacuum cleaner (Roomba). A slightly bigger issue is the poor air quality when there are forest fires, which sometimes blow towards USC in the spring, but it’s not been an issue of my kids over the years since they’ve been in LA since 2006.

LA has some of the most stringent emissions standards for vehicles in the US and requires regular smog checks on vehicles. This has greatly improved air quality since I used to visit in the 1970s. :)
