Just reading this is somewhat ridiculous . . .

A 3 definitely shouldn't be considered good, but it's not horrible. I mean there's a 2 and a 1, now that's horrible, you didn't even pass if you got those.

Also, a lot of these subjects depend on how they're taught. At my school, we have some really horrible teachers for certain AP Subjects. To even have a shot at getting a 5 at those, you really, really have to give it 1000%, so in that case getting a 3 isn't necessarily bad, given that the teacher's passing rate is around 10%.

Oh, and though I think my stats personally fit in with what most of the CCer's post around here, but CC is not a place just for the most elite, everyone can come here and ask for advice.

well colleges don't look at your ap scores after you get accepted. So dont' worry about it.

"ilovemath314159, if u want a 3, u dont belong on CC"

hahahahah Variance2004, so true.

good stuff ^^

hey leave me alone!!!

ilovemath numbers: I thought I saw a MathIIC 800 score floating around under your name... I do believe that qualifies for CC

yay! i am special after all

what a bunch of snobs, o yea and my one post about having the audacity to say im dumb was from another person, but i guess it got taken off... he basically said i was stupid for not getting a 3, at my school getting a 5 is tough, most get 4's, and the few (me) get 3's, i just wanted to know people's opinion about it.... so thanks

A three is perfectly fine. I took the AP Euro exam and got higher than that, but that is me. I probably wouldn't do as well as you on other APs. Everyone has strengths and weaknesses.

P.S. ilovemath314159, I think you belong on CC no matter what you want to get on the AP.

collegebound, unless you're going to an elite school, a 3 is PASSING and will get you FREE electives credits. Don't listen to the pathetic snobs here.

my god. a 3 isnt so bad...and it by no means will wipe you out of top colleges, even if u send it, although i wouldnt.

lol. AP Euro is only hard for people who can't write. Same goes for AP US.

Euro is like this:

Know who Napoleon is. What wars did he create? (hint, they're named after him)
Know about England through the industrial revolution
Know why Germany has been and always will be crappy.
Know two "isms" - Nationalism, Fascism
Know what democracy is
Significance of - Magna Carta
And the Renaissance

A+. 5 on the AP exam.

i bet you have a lot of friends.

By the way, many colleges will not give you credit for a three. Many schools (I'm talking a tier or even two tiers below ivies) will only accept fours or fives. Some top notch schools wont give you credit even if you DO get a five. So a three is passing, but all it shows is that you didn't fail.

lolok.. for some people history is easy, for some it isn't, so just realize there are differences between people's strengths, you really need to understand that, it's really annoying how u still call people dumb about AP Euro... yea a 3 is passing and it shows i didn't fail, which is good for someone who sucks at history and in fact is disgusted by history, i'm a math/science person, not english/history stuff... so just back off
