I applied right on the day of the deadline of december 1st. Does UT roll admissions? and when can I expect a reply from them?
I'm an International student living in the UAE.

So basically, in one of my essays, I have an incomplete line. The sentence goes like this,
"And at such a young age, so, I picked up my cricket bat and ball and went to
the small playground right outside my house."
So would this mean an automatic cancellation of my application if the evaluator notices this mistake?

Dude, they’re not going to throw you out for mistake on an essay. Especially since rank/GPA is the main thing they care about. Next time just proof read your essays.

I honestly hope that sentence (not including the “incomplete line”) is not representative of how you wrote your essays. That is horrible grammar.

What’s your rank? If you have a good rank or good ACT score… you will be accepted.

I also made a couple of mistakes. For one of the essays, I wrote “the rise of in homelessness is…” ughhh I can’t believe I wrote “of” and “in”
Also, I wrote “ever major discovery, every major conflict, every…” ughh “ever…” lol

Whoops, I meant ‘one mistake’ before. Not very encouraging advice…

This was just an older version of the essay and this is the only error I’ve made in all my applications. I deleted some part of the sentence and forgot to rewrite. I’m in the top 10% but I have not given the ACT.
But when can I expect a reply?

It is one mistake on one essay. It will not hurt you at all. If you made ten mistakes just like that, in your essay, then yeah, that would definitely make a difference. UT has to read so many essays from probably 30,000+ applicants, so they probably won’t even notice this mistake.

And very good SAT scores by the way. :D

Best of Luck!

Thanks a lot Copperfield233! That makes me feel very good. Thank all of you!

I doubt they will even read your essay unless you are applying to an honors program.

They will definitely read your essay…

Why will they not even read my essay? That’s lame because I’ve spent countless hours working on it. (I know hard to believe. Typo’s occur people!)
When do I expect a decision from UT?

Early march
