How bad will 2 "C+'s" hurt me

My freshmen year I took no honors and than my sophmore year I took all honors. My Honors Geometry teacher gave me a C+ with a 79.7...%#$&!....anyway, my spanish teacher gave me one second semester with a 79.1. How bad will this hurt my chances at schools like USC, NYU, Texas, Michigan, UWashington, Lehigh, Illinois, Emory....BTW my GPA is a 3.74 Unweighted 3.94 Weighted

They shouldn’t hurt that badly, but you might want to bump that weighted GPA a bit so that it’s over 4.0. :]

It will DEFINITLY be done by the time I graduate but Im gonna be applying to schools in less than a month, so I odviously cant do it on the resume that will be presented to colleges

If you do well Junior and first part of Senior year that can sometimes out-weigh relatively poor Sophomore and Freshman performance…

That being said, my HS UW GPA was a 3.5 with no C’s, so I’d rather have two C’s and a 3.74 (except maybe your lack of honors courses - I hear sometimes your rigor is sometimes more important than GPA to a degree…)

Bottom Line:

Your 2 C+'s will not hurt you, but your apparent lack of course rigor will.

I dont have lack of course rigor freshmen I got straight A’s in standard, Sophmore a 3.5 in 4 Honors, Junior year 2 Ap 1 Honors 3.9-Those are all UNWEIGHTED

Next year I’m taking Statistics, College Algebra, Trigonometry, AP Biology, AP Government, Honors Writing, and Intro to Marketing
