I struggled in semester 2 with math because it was really geometry proof based. How bad will this ruin my chances of going to any of the UC’s? Mainly UCSD. What should I do? My GPA is a 3.9 UW, 4.0 W before Semester 2 of soph year. I also do sports (rowing), and other extracurricular clubs.
I think that you need to make an effort going forward to keep ahead in math. Mathematics is an area where you really don’t want to fall behind. What you learn each day will depend upon pretty much everything that you learned to that point. Do your math homework the day that it is assigned. This will help you pick up a bit more the next day.
With this, assuming that you can do better in math in the future, I think that you will be fine and have very little to worry about.
