How bad will one grade hurt my chances...

<p>Also for the record - I had a low C for the YEAR in IB Math HL (due to Calculus and an impossible teacher, but let’s not go there), dropped to SL in senior year, and had a handful of B’s on my transcript, but still somehow got into Stanford~ </p>

<p>And in case you’re wondering: I’m not a recruited athlete (or super skilled athlete of any type), first-generation college student, URM (I’m Asian, actually. Whee.), legacy, super rich, or anything of the sort. Actually, this makes me wonder how the heck I even got in…but my point is: THERE IS HOPE.</p>

<p>To add to the stories, I got three B- freshman year and my first A in high school came sophomore year, and both years I took a really easy schedule. Most people get straight As early on and then drop off slightly when they hit the harder classes, but I was the exact opposite. But I got in, so early grades don’t have to be that great, although it would have been easier for me if I got straight As freshman year.</p>
