How bad will this affect my gpa?

Ill be a freshman in the Fall and I would like to ask your guys opinion on something. In highschool I took a few dual credit classes.

English 101 - 89%
English 102 - 82%
Algebra - 79%

My question is, should I even submit my college algebra score? I feel like it would screw my gpa up a bit if I did, but it would also allow me to take my physics class without having to take a more advance math class beyond Calculus. (I have calculus this upcoming semester)

So basically, is this 79 going to bring my gpa down a ton or is it worth the risk to prevent having to take a more advance math class? Thanks all!

Wasnt exactly sure where to put this btw lol

It should not hurt your future GPA to report those grades. College GPAs are generally calculated separately for each institution, so the fact that you have grades from college classes in the past should not affect your GPA at the school where you begin as a freshman. Even if you get credit for those courses at your college, the grade points from transfer credits should not be included in the new institutional GPA. But,those transferred courses may still appear on your overall institutional transcript from your college, which means you may end up having to report those grades to potential employers when you use your transcript to look for jobs or internships.

Leave that C grade back in high school, and be glad that you have a fresh start.

niceday - Thanks for the information! I think the college im going to counts it toward the gpa because they did give me a letter grade for my college English class :/

siliconvalleymom - I agree with that 100%
