How bad would it be if I dropped out of a class next semester?

By the time it's the second semester, I would have already turned in my applications. But I know they'll still look at transcripts.

I really hate my anatomy class right now and I don't even think I can stand the rest of this semester, let alone the whole entire next semester.
I just hate the class itself, the people in the class, and the teacher. I get anxiety everyday in that class and it's the most uncomfortable thing. I keep counting down the days until the semester ends.

But what would happen if a college accepts me and then they find out that I switched out of one class next semester? Would that be bad?

If you ever need to change your class schedule in the senior year after your application submission (or after admission), you need to contact the adcom of that school(s) to ask if you can drop that class. Remember, their decision is partly based on your submitted class schedule. Don’t not try to hide that or you will be surprised in a bad way too.

It’s not going to be a make or break issue, however, get the best grade you can and then switch. And let schools know of the change in your schedule. In fact, if you haven’t turned them in yet, you might just fill them out as if you had already made the switch, just put that down for your second semester schedule. Saves you the work of letting them know.

It really depends… what class will you exchange it with?

It probably won’t affect your applications or acceptances, but either way, you still must contact the schools you applied to and let them know.

I’m planning on just switching out of the class and taking a free period instead. But then I would only have 4 classes second semester…
