How bad would one B affect my chances at getting into the University of Virginia?

I'm a high school junior, and I'm really worried because I have a B in my Spanish class, because my Spanish teacher and I don't really see things eye to eye. Here's a resume of where I am so far, so you can decide how it will affect me.
GPA: Weighted 4.33 (not counting junior classes so far) Unweighted 4.0
Class Rank: Currently top 4 %
Extracurriculars: Summer internship at a music venue, National Honors Society, Math Honors Society, Science Honors Society, Keys Club, Guitar Ensemble, and Christian Fellowship Club
Volunteer: Hundreds of hours, too many to list
SAT Scores: Currently scoring within the 1900's, However I am working to make sure it goes over 2100, because most of the mistakes I make are from not paying attention
Also got a 4 on the AP World Exam

Junior classes:
Chemistry 95 A
Advanced Guitar 98 A+
AP US History 97 A
AP English Language/ Composition 100
Precalculus 99 A
Personal Finance/Economics (the school system forced me to take this, is not I would have taken another AP) 98 A+
Spanish 4 H 89 B+

If you add up all of the numbers, my weighted GPA for junior year only is a 4.43 and my unweighted for junior year only is a 3.9 because of that Spanish class

So how bad would this class affect my chances of going into a selective school like UVA or William and Mary? Also should I consider dropping Spanish?

Please relax. A single B, or even a handful, won’t hurt you. And for goodness sake, don’t drop the class.

Are you in state or out-of-state?

You are way over thinking this. Anyone who tells you one B prevents you from getting into UVA, or really any high tier/ivy league school, is factually wrong. I know a lot of kids at UVA and I know for a fact that some have gotten Bs at some point in their life. Take a breather, you will not be rejected to a school because you have a single B. That’s a myth. Adcoms’ know that a) some teachers are scumbags with grading, b) grading systems are not universal and c) straight A’s aren’t the only aspect to a student. You’ll be fine. Like seriously, enjoy life a little.

Hello, I was wondering if a C will affect my chances of getting into UVA. I have Straight As except for that C. It is in a spanish class. I will be applying for engineering. I have a 4.2 GPA and a 2030 sat with a 800 math and a 740 math 2 and 750 physics. I have had a 160 hour electrical engineering Internship. I am taking 5 ap classes this years and have A’s in them. I took all the hardest classes I could last year. Since it is spanish and I am doing engineering, I am hoping that it will not affect me too badly.
Thanks for any responses.
