Is getting a 50 outa a 100 on a midterm worth abouu 20% of ur grade with 80 being the median, the professor doesn't calculate the mean... is it sitll possible to get a B or an A in the class?

That's a C-, assuming the class is curved with a standard deviation of 15.

flopsy has spoken

Really? I was thinking it was a solid F... so I can still come back right?

What's my grade on the midterm if I got a 67, the mean is 58, and the median is 61?

how does a 50/100 with a median of 80 give a C-? that puts him in the bottom 5% of the class, even if the average is below 80. not very probable since it seems like the distribution is skewed left.... and its 2 standard deviations below the mean, and in a curve, shouldn't the mean be a C?

mean is usually set to a B-

BUT

many professors wait until the end and total up everything before they curve.

Also, you can still get a B or an A if eveyrone else fails the final miserably and you do well.

I had the bottom 5% score for both of my physics 1C midterms and crawled out with a B minus as a final grade.

Sorry, I take back what I said. That grade is closer to a D.

D+??? loll but what i mean to ask is can i still come back and hopefully get a B or higher in the class?
